by OLCHS News - Thursday, 2 April 2015, 9:51 AM
The Mark Greenwood Suite This week our staff gathered as Canon Luiz Ruscillo, Head of the Lancaster Diocesan Education Service, officially opened the Catholic Teaching Alliance training centre and within it, The Mark Greenwood Suite, blessing all of the work that takes place there. Mr Greenwood taught at our school for over 20 years and it was his work and leadership that brought the CTA into existence. The anniversary of his death is soon upon us. This year over 25 people are completing their PGCE teacher training with us through the CTA.

    7M2C Charity Collection
by OLCHS News - Friday, 27 March 2015, 8:31 AM
Charity Collection As 7M2C have been learning about heroes in their 'Heroes and Villains' English lessons this half term, they decided to be heroes themselves by holding a food collection for the Salvation Army. They tied this in with the challenge that Mr Gormally set in his assembly which was to act as disciples of God by thinking of others. 7M2C rose to the challenge and brought in a fantastic amount of items for the collection. Many thanks to all parents involved in supporting this.
