Being one of ours
|On Monday 4th July Year 6 pupils, our future Year 7, visited OLCHS. Their taster day gave them the opportunity to experience life at high school, enjoying a variety of lessons, whilst getting to know staff and fellow students. |Well done to all our pupils who have read over one million words this academic year. Our Millionaire Readers were rewarded with a trip to the cinema to watch ‘The Secret Life of Pets’ on Friday 1st July; they all had a great time and are keen to do it all again next year. From September it all starts again, every Key Stage 3 pupil that reads over one million words between September and May half term will be invited to go Ten Pin Bowling during school time. It could be you!|
|As part of their Arts Week celebrations focusing on '100 years of Roald Dahl', Year 5 pupils from SS Mary & Michael's Catholic Primary School in Garstang visited OLCHS to work with the Design & Technology department to produce a class mobile and personalised door hanger each.|
|The week of 20th to 26th June marked national Refugee Week, with this year's theme of Welcome. Year 8 pupils participated in a variety of lessons based on this theme in Geography, R.E, English and History. They learned about the conflict in Syria and mapped the journeys refugees make in ...|
